Galleri Brandstrup is proud to announce that we, through our collaboration with Kåre Kivijärvi Photographic Estate, are now representing the late Kåre Kivijärvi, who´s work led to the establishment of photography as an artistic art form in Norway.
We will open our first solo exhibition with Kåre Kivijärvi on Thursday August 23rd, 2018 (6-8 pm), with over 50 works never shown before. The exhibition is curated by Andrea Gjestvang and Fin Serck-Hanssen, and includes series of works from several of his travels. Amongst these are works from Kivijärvi´s journeys to India, Nepal and Afghanistan (1963-64), Greenland (1966), Finnmark and Finland (1966) and the to the Soviet Union (1973).
